BlackBerry Software


Introduction: Although blackberry company provides the fastest connecting app on mobiles(BB messenger ) it still has a huge gap in its operating systems. 

In my hand I used four of them (OS4 , OS5 , OS6 ,OS7). 
OS4 and OS5 are very similar to each other and the same is for 6 & 7. 

When I used  to use OS4 I really didn't use it that much till I upgraded it to 5 and seriously I didn't notice anything different in the interface, maybe programmers can notice it, but as a user it's not that much. 
Anyway as I mentioned in a previous post that I owned a blackberry curve 8250 with OS5 for almost a three years period, in two of them I got a stupid error named (error 522) once you get this error your blackberry screen gets all white and you can't do anything to open it except formatting the device with everything inside it ( which is a big straight negative line)!! 
You can't give people a device that can crash down at any moment and erase every single information!!! 


Also in Os5 there are some small details that can make you go crazy (Bluetooth) is one of them and how come when you want to send 5 or let's say 2 pictures from your device to another through Bluetooth you CAN'T !! You simply cannot do this you have to send it one by one! Even though all other devices in the market provide this simple detail, but no not in the blackberry's!! 


Even when they created OS6 they tried to upgrade the system and make it faster, but they really came with the slowest software ever!! Seriously they did so much effort to produce a stupid software that only make your life much harder and they knew about the Bluetooth problem and they just didn't do anything !!!

When they finally realized that the Os6 was a big failure they decided to improve the system and make it much faster and suddenly the Bluetooth problem appear on the surface and they start to make a real life saving solutions, that's when OS7 came to life! 
It had the best side off all the old software’s; browsing is faster , switching apps is faster, pictures transfer problem is no longer exist , they even became more creative they developed a method to hide a pictures file without using any program to keep your privacy (which is a very demanded feature). 
I forgot to say all the old operating systems had java exception that pops up out of nowhere for no reason while you are using your mobile, but till this day I didn't face this problem with OS7 so they actually have grown in this OS, I'm still not satisfied maybe because of what I used to suffer but for the sake of justice the 7th OS has treated me well so far and I'm really loving my device for this smooth operating.

There's is one negative side common between the four blackberry devices that provides the 7th OS, all of them have a short period battery while you are using the 3G technology and as a solution what I did I keep it on the 2G and only switch to 3G when I need it and that's grunted me at least 12 hours of a functional mobile ; 12 hours for a blackberry is more than enough from my prospective.

So when I talked about my device BB 9360 in the previous post I was recommending buying this device because all the software failures in the old ones, but it's so clear to me that blackberry company started to realize their problem and started to fix it & hopefully we will see a better software’s and a better technology in the next months. 

Important note for blackberry users:
Restarting your device is the number one solution for almost all the problems, If it didn't work start searching for other solutions, and remember!! always keep a backup of your data in your device just in case.

Omar Husain in the bilding!!!

On last Tuesday while I was setting on the couch after lunch I was browsing my timeline on twitter, I got a new tweet from Omar Husain saying (I’m on the plain heading to KFUPM)

I was totally surprised by the news, its Omar Husain the one and only!! The YouTube celebrity, for those who don’t know Omar Husain who already have 80,000 followers on YouTube, he runs a show called”3al6ayer” it’s a comedy show that  talk about politics and Saudi society problems in a sarcastic  way. I totally have a huge respect for the man he can really deliver the Saudi problems in an open minded prospective.

Anyway as I said he mentioned that he is coming to KFUPM and I didn’t know why he’s coming, but I was sure whatever is the reason I’m goanna be there, searched on Google which lead me to the KFUPM main site, I find out that Omar Husain was coming to KFUPM the college where he graduate from to give a lecture about the “difficulties when you begin your career”.

Despite the fact that the subject is interesting I knew that everyone is goanna come to see this lecture because of Omar….and that’s what happened! The room was full of students and the three lecturers Omar, Ihab, Aasy where Amazing, it was like a group meeting where everyone is your best friend, each one of them gave us a story about their beginnings in their careers  and told us what a must DO and what’s not!!! , seriously everyone in the room including the lecturers did not want this lecture to end it was so sad that we only had 2 hours for this life amazing lecture.

After they finish we kept asking questions for an hour more and after an hour they said that they must go because they have a plain to catch, it was really generic thing to do by them... They came all the way from Jeddah just to stay these 2 hours and get back and it was in the middle of the week!!

One of the best times in this semester specially when I met a celebrity like Omar who listened to my questions and answer them like if I was his best friends, very genuine very respected man I really wish him the best, the life experience he provided was very helpful and enjoyable. 

The New BlackBerry Curve 9360!!

I just bought this new BlackBerry 9360 and let me say BlackBerry have never accomplished a good device till this day except this one!!

Not because I bought it I’m putting a good word for this device, but seriously this is the most amazing mobile I’ve bought till this day and I have used many including an old BlackBerry curve 8250.

Let me start analyzing this new 9360 from the outside:

1-      It’s the thinnest  BlackBerry in the market(A big thump up)

2-      Easy access to a single application by a convenience key(wish there was two but it’s still very helpful)

3-      A 5 megapixel Camera (one of the best cameras with good real colors)

4-      Smooth keyboard (comparing to my old 8250.

That’s the outside, but the real reason for blackberry users to change from one mobile to another is The Software and that’s off course my reason for changing my old BlackBerry.

BlackBerry curve 9360 one of only 4 BlackBerrys in the market provided the 7^th Software system, there is many many amazing thing in this software that can make you change whatever blackberry you have to get the benefits from the 7^th I’m going to talk all about it in another post to compare between each software.

All I can say for now about the 7^th Software is that it’s the fastest software in switching from one app to another in a smooth process similar to a computer, the processor provided with the mobile made internet browsing are much functional and useful in needed times, not like the old ones where being near a Wi-Fi access is a must for browsing smoothly.

It also provide a 3G accesses (yes I know it’s not a big deal :p , but I used to own BB 8250 )
You will get to know this Blackberry much better when I talk about the difference between the software’s so hang with me on this aone and I’m goanna get back to you with the post that will give you the whole idea about the blackberry Softwares.

If you are going to buy a new BlackBerry I totally recommend you put this one in your mind, because to me it absolutely worth every riyal I spent on it.

Different religions & same concepts

 n this planet we call earth, there are many religions you can choose and many beliefs almost 20 of them are Majors and well known, 3 of them are the most spared religions and all their book came from GOD directly! which are(Islam, Christianity, Judaism) .

Those three are the basic three religions that really own the world.
for the sake of arrangement:
1-judasim was the first religion came from god directly to earth by Mousses
2- Christianity came after Judaism by the prophet Jesus
3- Islam the last religion that came to cover all other religions and complete the same message on earth by the prophet Mohammed

Islamic point of view:

Judaism & Christianity are not a bad religion and in so many words god in Quran told Muslims to be very kind on those who resaved there religions by books meaning (Judaism & Christianity).

So what I’m trying to say there is no message of fighting each other if it's not necessary, but as always governments who start the wars not the people.

I want to spot the light on something common between the three religions, each of them have a special day for praying or being close to god.

Muslims: its Friday all Muslims gather to the nearest mosque to hear a lecture and after the lecture they pray
Christianity: Sunday all Christians go to the church they believe in because there is 4 different bibles, but it's the same process a lecture and praying
Judaism: for Judaism it's Saturday, but for them it's just a day off from everything

You will notice that Islam & Christianity are very similar because both came in a very short period, but Judaism is way far.

The three religions although they are very different in some ways, but they still share the idea of  spending a hole day for worshiping & praying and focusing on the relationship between human race and GOD.

Homer Simpson

Did I pick the right subject or what : D HEHE…

BOY!! he can make me laugh!! , I swear to god through all the good times and the bad times no one could ever make me laugh and forget all my problems like Homer Simpson... he just have this strange deep voice that can make you calm down, not mention the weird thoughts that cross his mind LOOOL.

It's important to mention that the Simpsons first appeared as shorts in The Tracey Ullman Show on April 19, 1987 and after the huge success of adding the short clips to the show in 1989 a team in FOX Company decided to make it a half hour show.

The numbers of the viewer’s went up dramatically and sense then the show has completed 23 season and there is no chance of stopping, the show  fan base is so huge and the ideas for the show don't stop every time there is something new & absolutely AMAZING!!!.

From all the success FOX Company now is thinking seriously about opening a new channel only for The Simpsons show!!!, can you imagine a whole channel with full programs schedule just for the Simpsons!! HOW COOL IS THAT!!!

Seriously if they decide to do the channel I’m goanna have a serious problem in controlling my time!!!, I could stay all day in home just watching a season after another & the problem is that I DO NOT mind repeating any episode, it's just more fun for me :p

Twitter is for everyone with any interesting subject you may like, you can't just say twitter is for football or political opinions or some boring wisdoms.

Whatever is the subject you are interested in, you will always find people you share with the same spirit, some of them is in your home town and some from the other part of the world, but you still very close because of your interest that you share.

I totally recommend everyone at any age to create an account, even if you don't set on computers or you are not into social network sites, because you can carry this page at any time and any place in your pocket and totally a huge source for education and documenting your thoughts daily.

The key of success

 It is as simple as this ORGANIZATION!!!...

Whenever you feel yourself lost never estimate the power of pen & paper.

What I'm going to talk about today is a method that was in a book provided by the study Skills course the first day we entered the college.

Of course no one read the book!, but the information was so important and was taken from a famous book named "7 habits of highly effective people".

The method in a simple words is how to organize yourself and don't get lost in your daily routines.

To achieve that bring a paper and pin and try this with me:

First:
Write down all the things to do, everything!!!  Short run goals and long run goals, every little thing you want to do even the silly stupid things write it down!!.

Second:

Draw squares Juts like the way it's on the picture

Third:
Put everything you wrote in these squares by How important and urgent the actions are.

When you finish this process you will find yourself organized the most important things and you will try to achieve those before the one you list as unimportant.

This method has helped me so many times to clear up my mind it truly works, I hope you get some benefits from this.

Marriage in Saudi Arabia - part 2

Marriage:

Let’s say that you are a male and you somehow survived the teen process safely with no harm to anyone or even you and you decided to get married.

The only way to get married is:

Your mom or one of your ants or any female family related start searching for you! , starting from your own family to find appropriate wife who must fulfill these conditions:

1-      Young which means from (16 – 29 Max)

2-      Virgin

3-      Knows how to cock(several meals)

4-      Religious, the more religious she is the better opportunities for her to get married

The problem is when we say religious the only way to measure it is by her clothes when she gets out of home, the stricter she is the more religious, which is actually a completely stupid understanding of religion!

In some cases those who are believed to be strict and religious, become the worst nightmare in this protective society, because they know when it comes to marriage the only things that matters is some shallow behaviors that she can act at anytime and anyplace, which give her the opportunity to do mistakes as she want to, as long as, she can keep herself safe for the conditions.

So let’s say that your mom or ant find a good stranger that fulfill the above conditions, you still don’t have any authority in this place you just have to decide that you want to get married and see different girls, where mind and the way the girls think and how she can relate to you is something irrelevant and you can figure all this out after you get married!

Imagine that you get married to someone the only thing you know about is the 4 conditions!! And this is the only way of getting married!! You DO NOT get to know your wife Intel you marry her!...What type of a sick society is this ?

I forgot to say the most important step for this whole marriage process to be accepted:

In Saudi Arabia we are different families with different roots, if the two roots don’t match each other in society level then you can forget this marriage immediately , your mom or ant will never search in families who don’t step up to your society level.

So individuals don’t really decide in anyway who are they going to marry, it’s just a matter of stupid family traditions that you must do to have a legal female partner in your life and that’s about it!

Even in highly successful educated families and the most modern families, the education just slams on the wall, in marriage every step is just traditions! And the two people who are the important part become the last step in this process.

Marriage in Saudi Arabia - part1

What I’m going to talk about today is a very sensitive subject, I find out marriage in Saudi Arabia is one of the most difficult subjects in this country.

Before I start to talk, I want you all readers out there to understand that all what I’m going to say is from real problems I’ve seen and this is my point of view from the subject.

Saudi youth generation:

They look innocent and told not to interact with the opposite sex from kinder garden Intel they reach to their 15 or 14, when seeing a girl at this age is something forbidden and in many cases you can’t talk no more to your cousins or family relates just because of the sex difference!

After 15 and as natural human being those teenagers try to seek a way to be involved in the man – women relationship, everyone is searching for love or some type of compaction and because it’s forbidden to talk to boys\girls you have to keep your relationship a secret!, here is exactly where teenage boys take advantage of the innocent teenage girls.

He has the perfect relationship for any man on earth:

a-      A girl desperate for love (for any type of love)…whether it’s sexual or just share your own feelings.

b-      A girl who will keep calling you all day by her own expenses

c-       A girl is so loyal (because that’s the only thing Saudi moms deliver to their children, loyalty to the man with all his mistakes) which is something good in a real healthy relationship NOT for teenage love! and of course NOT every mistake!

d-      A secret relationship that no one can ever know about it, it’s like a world for you two (believe me it’s not romantic)….it can get really ugly because of this reason.

I’m not saying this is the only type of relationships in Saudi Arabia for teenagers, sometimes it goes the opposite way where the girl take advantage of the boy, but this is the common way of relationships in here because as worldwide knowledge whenever a boy gets a girl he is a man whenever a girl gets a man she is a ……

What I want to say is that at least every girl and every boy got in a relationship or at least they share a forbidden phone call once (forbidden by society) There is no shame in it really from my point of view, but you better not do it if you want to get married.

The day I decided to go apple applications course

Wednesday 5 October, I decided to take a course about apple applications and how to create them.

This course was more like meeting new friends and talk about apple applications it was done by Mr. Mohammed Badawi who is sort of a professional in this field.

The course was all about introducing SDK and Xcode and how to use your mac computers to create IPhone or I pad also IPod applications, it's really not that hard and very profitable, Mr. Mohammed showed us some programs that only cost you 10 minutes of your time without any experience in programing and had some really high numbers in appstore.

It was a free introduction course leads to a week of professional courses that you have to pay for, but I will settle with what I’ve got so far, all I needed was an image of how the process goes for creating an apple application.

At the same day The Legend and one of the biggest inventors on earth history Steve Jobs dies!! .

I really didn’t know him that much we all know that he was the CO of Apple Company but so many of us didn’t know about him until we heard the news.

 It’s really a huge loss for humanity even though we don’t know the man we all agree that he made our life so much easier with his imagination and the well of creating what’s impossible.

After suffering from pancreatic cancer which is a really rare cancer that the symptoms don’t appear until the last stage of the disease, Steve jobs was announced dead on October 5.

No one denies the achievements and the will of giving that Steve jobs had , he gave us the best apple that can make everything possible.

May he rest in peace.

Saudi National Day 23septemper 2011

I don't know about you, but for me this National day was the best National day I've ever seen !!!.

Last 4 or maybe 5 national days were a disaster, no one really knew how to celebrate on this day and no one even told us anything except that there will be a very strict actions for anyone color his car or dance on the cornish street or put any flags outside the cars.

This time the message was so clear to the population YOU CAN DO whatever you want!!! with your fingerprints all over it AS LONG AS you don't harm anyone around you.

Police officers were on foot in all main cornish streets both Dammam & Khobar, providing the citizens safety and also celebrating as a one community.

I raised my sound system UP!! with all that national songs in the middle of Al-Khobar cornish street in front of police officers and no one stopped me or say anything  &  people who were walking on foot near by my car start dancing and congrats me for the national day as if we were brothers and friends for a long time,SERIOUSLY!!! I have never seen Saudi's more close to each other and act like if they knew each other the way I saw them on 23septemper 2011.

Of course putting "Riot control" in the middle of the cornish was the best guarantee for everything to run smoothly on this day, but all the time I was there which is from 9 - 10 pm I've not seen anyone get on Riot control bus, I think Saudi's specially khobar citizens have learned that it's ok to represent your self in any way you want on national day as long as you don't hurt or  intimidate anyone.

I hope you all enjoyed the national day...I know I did :D

Note:
Everything I wrote is real,all happened in front of my eyes & not from my imagination!!, I know other parts of Saudi Arabia may had some problems on national day, which is still lack of communication between the government and the people, but that's not what happened in Al-Khobar Cornish
